Dear Francesca,

I feel a strong sense of momentum these days like something awesome is about to happen. I am so grateful for your consistent support and encouragement to help me share my gifts with the world. In this newsletter, I want to invite you to sing with me, share with you some upcoming shows and a few other tidbits.

Sing with Me - Flash Mob

One thing that makes me deeply sad is when someone says they can't sing - or they've been told they can't sing. One sec, hold this thought.

I've been commissioned to write a song for the opening of a new performing arts theatre in Sunnybank, Brisbane - SunPAC. I have arranged the song for mass choir to perform as a Flash Mob - and I want you to sing it with me.

Back to my first thought - if you can speak, you can sing. End of story. You don't want me pulling out all the science behind this (because I can). So if you are in Brisbane and can make the following rehearsals and performance date, please come along and sing with me. Join the Facebook Page here to keep up to date with all the information. If you're not on Facebook, please simply email me back so I know that you'll be there.

Calling All Singers, All Ages, All Experience Levels for FLASH MOB

If you can read music, you'll be given music on the day. If not, I'll teach you the melody, which repeats over and over again. So easy, you just need your ears and enthusiasm. Please note: You must be able to attend ALL the rehearsals and performance.

 Rehearsal 1 - Thursday Oct 6, 7-9pm, SunPAC Auditorium

Rehearsal 2 - Thursday Oct 13, 7-9pm, SunPAC Auditorium

Performance - Saturday Oct 15, 10-12.30pm, SunPAC outdoor area

ARIA Awards

I'm very excited that Own Self was in the voting for the ARIA Awards this year. It's such an honour to be in the same voting category as Sia, Kate Miller-Heidke, Dami Im, Emma Louise, Missy Higgins, Sarah Blasko, Sara Storer, and Montaigne.

ie. I'll unlikely win, but I'll be there on the night to check it all out and watch my favourite band of all time, Crowded House, be inducted in the Hall of Fame. Yeow!

I Heart Songwriting Club News

The I Heart Songwriting Club has now been open to the public for the past 2 months and we now have almost 100 members from around the world writing a 1-hour song every single week. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive, not that I thought it would be otherwise. But proof is in the pudding and after 2 years of writing songs every week with my private songwriting club, opening up to the public hasn't changed the value of the club - to offer a community and supportive environment to songwriters who are often isolated and to keep songwriters writing through blocks and debilitating self-judgement and doubt.

This beautiful club celebrated our 2 year concert with members from all over Australia and we have even made a documentary. I am looking forward to sharing this with you very soon. Check out the photos and feedback from audience as well as our upcoming shows here.

If you would like to learn more about the I Heart Songwriting Club or join, please check it out here.
