Dear Francesca,

Last November, I had a dream that I wrote a song and taught the whole world to sing it. When I woke I sat up in bed, grabbed my guitar and wrote my song. I now plan to teach the world how to sing it.

The song was inspired from one of the many violent attacks on a city somewhere in the world no doubt intended to threaten our fellow humans. This song talks about the world hurting and about our collective fears and how it drives hatred. It poses the thought that if fears can grow, then why can't dreams grow?

It premiered at my gig in Sydney last weekend with a beautiful audience singing along with me (I admit, I lost my shit). This weekend I will be workshop a choral arrangement of the song with the Queensland Show Choir (who also sung at my album launch concert with me).

I don't know where this song will go next, but you can count on hearing it. If you work with a choir and would like to sing it, please email me and I'd love to send it to you.

It might need a new title too - currently it's called I Dreamt I Wrote A Song and Taught the World to Sing

Any Suggestions?

Easter Weekend Concerts

If you are looking for something to do on your Easter long weekend and you enjoy wine and music, get yourself to the magical Granite Belt wine country for a special dinner and concert event. Pyramids Road Wines are award-winning boutique winemakers handcrafting some of the Granite Belt's finest wines - trust me, I know this from plenty of quality-assured testing. The winemakers, Warren and Sue Smith, will be hosting this event.

This event sells out every year so if you plan on coming, book your tickets ASAP.

The Granite Belt encompasses the incredible Girraween National Park and Stanthorpe and Ballandean wine areas and has some super yummy apples and other produce grown locally.

It is likely I'll teach my wine-music-loving fellows my World Choir song too.
