QPAC Concert Hall - Brisbane Sings
Sun 6 August 5pm

Tickets $48 - All Ages

I'll be performing two of my brand new songs backed by two beautiful choirs as part of Brisbane Sings 2017. Brisbane Sings is a community event featuring choirs and singing groups from all over the city performing separately and together. A massed choir of 500 voices and a stage band will join to present a highly entertaining show that celebrates group singing in a non-competitive environment. After last year’s red ABBA tribute, Brisbane Sings will turn the QPAC Concert Hall into an orange Latin party in 2017 in proud support of our charity partner the Newro Foundation. Internationally renowned arranger, Kirby Shaw and Brisbane singer-songwriter and composer, Francesca de Valence will be the featured guest artists/composers for this event.

Sunshine Coast International Readers and Writers Festival
Coolum Civic Centre - "Songwriters in Conversation"
  Sat 12 August 1pm

Tickets between $6-$336 (festival ticket prices) - All Ages

I Heart Songwriting Club presents "Songwriters in Conversation: Songwriters in the Round" featuring three established songwriters, including club founder Francesca de Valence, Emma Dean and Sarah Collyer performing and sharing the stories behind their songs. This performance also launches SCIRWF's Annual Songwriting Development Program in partnership with I Heart Songwriting Club, which features 3-monthly songwriting masterclasses on the Sunshine Coast - the first masterclass beginning in November and throughout the first half of 2018. Students' development will be through weekly songwriting tasks via I Heart Songwriting Club. The outcome is a performance opportunity at SCIRWF's 2018 "Songwriters in the Round". After this presentation, Francesca will host a two-hour songwriting workshop in Marquee 2 in Jack Morgan Park from 3.15pm to 5.15pm.

In Reflection

I had the incredible pleasure of supporting legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb a few weeks ago. I was so very honoured to have had my father watch me from the audience - it was the last concert that he saw before he passed away last weekend.
It was a moving night - one I'll remember for a very long time.

I leave you with this pic of Jimmy and me.

All the Love
