Happy Wednesday Francesca,

Today I am very happy. I have decided to not be scared about my impending Own Self Album Launch and Release but rather to embrace and have fun with what is the most exciting thing that I've done...ever!

Help Me Get Into the Australian Music Charts

As of today you can pre-order my entire Own Self album on iTunes. If you do this before Nov 27, which is the official release date, you help me get into the Australian Music Charts. Yes, that's right I'll be up against massive names Ellie Goulding and Adele to chart. If lots of people pre-order I have a real chance of charting in the top 100. This will make me more attractive to radio stations and give me more profile as an independent artist. As an incentive, you will get two tracks immediately to enjoy.

Album Launch

The 13 lovingly hand-written songs on the Own Self album will officially be celebrated on Sun 29 Nov in Brisbane in an epic concert at the Old Museum. My band consists of the marvellous Tony Dean, Justin Bliss, Emma Dean, Laura Driver, Dan Lopez and Jonny Ng, and will feature the beautiful 8-piece choir "More Than Words" as part of the Queensland Show Choir. There will be more surprises too.

My special guest is Saint Hughs. This is a big deal. They've never ever been seen in person on stage. They are like the Daft Punk of Australia. They'll be featuring songs from their brand new EP Love and Lust including the track Vital Signs which I co-wrote and performed on.

The concert finishes at 8.30pm, so you could be tucked up in bed by 9.30pm in time for work on Monday. No excuses now...

Australian Songwriting Awards

Own Self (the song not the album) has been shortlisted in the Top 30 Pop songs in the Australian Songwriting Awards. This award I won in 2013 for Beautiful Night (remember that awesome story when I couldn't attend the awards because I was on tour and so AC/DC collected the award on my behalf, uh-haaa!). I'll know in December if I am successful in the awards. Fingers crossed.

If there is someone you know who would enjoy my music, please forward them this email or the links above. My success relies on your patronage and active support.

With love,

Francesca de Valence
